Membership Information

Membership is free to residents of the City of Pembroke and Laurentian Valley Township. Non-residents may join the library for an annual fee of $45.00 or $25.00 for a semiannual membership which will allow full library access. Family members of the initial non-resident member may also receive a library card for an additional fee of $5.00 each. (For instance, for a non-resident couple the annual membership would be $45.00 for the first person + $5.00 for the second for a total of $50.00. Should the couple have children they could also have a card for $5.00 each).

To become a member of the library, simply drop in with a piece of identification (ie, drivers licence, SIN card) and/or mail with your current address on it. Applicable membership fees will be due at the time of registration.

We also offer a visitor membership for those wishing to have access to library services for a temporary, two month period. Cost is $15 plus a $20 refundable fee which will be returned to the visitor member provided the account is in good order (ie, no outstanding damaged books, fines, etc..).

Patrons who have lost their library card and would like another one issued must pay a $5.00 fee.
